Hello 4K Families,
We just finished our sixth time through the alphabet on Monday. Now we are going to do 3 letters a day until we catch up with the ABC countdown. It is so exciting. We have 8 more pages of our phonics workbook and then we will be ready for kindergarten!
Friday, May 26 is our Alphabet Party for doing such a good job this year and learning so many letters and letter sounds! We will be playing some games with alphabet dice, alphabet bean bags, and making name necklaces to bring home. It should be a fun day. If anyone wants to send those alphabet cookie/crackers that they sell at Walmart for that day, that would be fun. Kids like to make words with them while they are eating. Let me know if you plan to do that. There are 17 kids in the AM and 14 in the PM.
Field Day is June 6. We will be having our own 4K activities that day. We will be able to do the bounce house/inflatable that the rest of the school does, and then we will also do: bubbles, chalk, and best of all - water balloons! I do need parents to volunteer to bring filled balloons to school that day in a bin, a wagon, or a cooler. We will do the water balloons right away at the beginning of each session in the front of the school in the grass, that way no one will have to carry the balloons far at all. Please send me a message if you can bring balloons that day. There is no limit. The more we have, the more we will play. We will do the other parts of field day other times during our day, but water balloons will be right away. So exciting!
