4K Families,
This week, in literacy, we are on letters Cc, Dd, Ee, Ff, and Gg. We continue to practice the whole alphabet each day. This time through the alphabet, we are practicing the alphabet with the printable alphabet chart that comes with the Miss Gilding Alphabet Video. This next month, please have your child practice writing their name and saying the letters of their name in order (spelling it out.) This will really help them at school. After the Christmas holiday break, when we come back, the classes will start signing in on a large chart sized sign in sheet. If many of them have been practicing, they will be able to sign efficiently and all get their turns during sign up time.
In math, we are finishing up on our shapes packet this week, and we will be moving on to a cute Under the Sea math packet that will help us practice lots of math concepts and practice numbers 1-10.
We continue to practice naming emotions that people have and talking about how to solve problems by using our voices and talking. We have been reading some social stories that help reinforce the concept that people feel safe when we keep our hands and feet to ourselves.
