Hello 4K Families!
This should be such a fun week! Today we made the Valentine Boxes so we can "mail" our Valentines tomorrow. They look so cute and it was a nice project to practice cutting. The boxes will be coming home, quite full I imagine, tomorrow in backpacks.
This week we are doing letters: Tt, Uu, Vv, Ww, and Xx. I have an exciting update! There are now 26 students (out of 30) who know 17-26 uppercase letters! That is the expectation for the end of the year. It is a good sign that we are well on our way to earning the alphabet party!
We will continue to compare items, write numbers, and measure in math.
The name writing sign in sheet each day is going very well. It is helping them with so many skills. Writing their names, recognizing numbers, recognizing classmates names, taking turns and spacial planning to make sure the name will fit. It is really fun to see! They can almost do it without any help and it has only been a week!
Wednesday is our 100th Day of 4K. We are 100 Days Smarter. The kids don't need to dress up. We will be making some fun crowns to wear with the number 100 on them. We will also count to 100 a couple of times too. It should be great fun!
