4K Families,
This week we are starting our new homework packets. They have pumpkins on them. There are lots of things to do and lots of fun ideas for families. We are also bringing home the PTO fundraiser pack this week. PM on Monday and AM on Tuesday.
During work time, we have a new shapes book. We will be working on shapes, counting, and writing numbers during the shapes book work. Monday we colored squares, counted them, and wrote a 9 on our paper. The rules are we try our best and we get better every time we try.
This week we are doing letters Ss, Tt, Uu, Vv, and Ww. We will begin literacy testing during the month of October to see how much they have learned so far and see what we have to accomplish by the end of the year. We do this literacy testing three times during the year, and I monitor how many letters they know each month.
At the end of October, we are having Parent/Teacher Conferences. Please use this SignUpGenius Link to sign up for a conference. Please leave your name and your child's name in the information line. Thanks! During fall, it is the expectation that everyone has a conference.
